handle the rod in order for a catch to be eligible for
prizes and the angler must sign an affidavit to that
effect. All fish entries must meet legal and minimum
requirements.
2. Tournament Headquarters will be at Rusty's Seafood
at Port Canaveral. Pre-registration fee ($200, tax included)
will be available until April 19th by mail or by dropping
off to Chris Lee at Coconuts On The Beach. Registration
of $250 will be available on April 28th at the Captains

Party. This means MANDATORY CAPTAINS PARTY.
3. All participants in the Tournament enter at their
own risk. Coconuts on the Beach and/or all of its officials
including the HOT Fishing Circuit and Tournament Headquarters
shall be exempt from any liability for loss, damage,
negligence, harm or injury suffered by any participants,
entrants, boat captains, crew members, vessels, equipment
or property which may occur during the Tournament.
4. All participating vessels shall be equipped with
a VHF marine band radio. Tournament headquarters and
all committee boats will monitor VHF Channel 74 and
will make every effort possible to assist any vessel.
5. Nothing in these Tournament Rules shall be construed
to limit or restrict the authority of the Tournament
Committee to modify, promulgate, add, delete, or make
other changes to these rules as they deem appropriate
in their discretion, without prior notice.
6. All protests must be made in writing to the Tournament
Director, with a $250 (cash) deposit by 6:00 p.m. on
the day of the Tournament. All decisions of the Tournament
Committee are binding. Rules will be applied equally
to all contestants.

NASA security zones which may be in effect. There are
no boundaries.

be rescheduled to the day after, Sunday the 29th. If
Sunday is unfishable the tournament will be postponed

issued by NOAA Weather Radio, and the Tournament Committee

WEIGH-IN
11. All eligible fish must be brought by water to Rusty's
at the Port on the boat from which they were caught
and weighed in at Tournament Headquarters between 2:30
p.m. and 5:00 p.m. All boats weighing fish must be in
line by 5:00 p.m. All anglers are responsible for their
own fish. The Tournament Committee reserves the right
to inspect any boat for rule violations at weigh-in.
Fish must be in whole condition.
Mutilated fish will not be weighed in.
12. In the event that a boat, specifically authorized
to do so by the Tournament Director, is in the act of
rendering aid to another vessel and therefore does not
return in time to make the 5:00 p.m. deadline, then
such boats will be exempt from the 5:00 p.m. deadline.
The aided or rescued boats will not be allowed to weigh-in
after 5:00 p.m. The tournament will not be concluded
until such boats, which have been granted an exemption,
have either weighed in their fish or have withdrawn
from the competition.
13. All participants presenting entries for prize consideration
agree to consent to a lie detector test if so requested
by the Tournament Committee. All fish weighed will be
marked or notched upon reaching the scale to preclude
reweighing. Fish may be subject to Torey Meter testing.

2006 Tourney Review
Thanks to all
that participated in the 2006 Coconuts Wahoo and Dolphin
Shootout. We had 108 boats compete even after a 3 week
postponement. While no one won the slam prize there
were some nice fish weighed in including a 56.6# Dolphin
by team Top Billing. The following is a table of the
winners. Be sure to check back during the beginning
of 2007 as we update the site for the 2007 tournament
which will be the 10th annual. You can bet we will make
this the most exciting tournament to hit Brevard in
years.
